Sam Machias was driving his crappy Mercedes like he always did when he went incognito; normally he would have driven the good one. For a movie producer, this was a damned good disguise. He pulled up in front of his brother Bobby’s old bungalow on Hollywood Junction and parked in front of the battered statue of Humphrey Bogart that had half of its face cracked and caved in. After sucking in his gut and tucking in the tails of his tacky red Hawaiian shirt, he got out. He always found Bobby hiding out in his bungalow when he was feeling down. And since those news stories had broken, he had little reason to feel any other way.
